Rocanville and District Museum Threshing Day

September 16, 2017
You are cordially invited to Rocanville & District Museum's 50th Anniversary Celebration!
The day will be jam packed and it will start off with a pancake breakfast at 8am. After breakfast the demonstrations will start. Market begins at 10am, lunch at 11:30, Threshing at 1pm, musical entertainment from 1:30-4:30, Street Mobile Family Resource Center from 3pm-5pm, cake cutting at 5pm, supper at 5pm . There will also be hayrack rides and a 50/50 draw.
No gate admission. Donations are greatly appreciated.

Terry Fox Run

Terry Fox Fun Run or Walk will be taking place at the Rocanville Cross Country Ski Trails on Sunday, September 17th. The event will begin at 1pm and Joan and Dennis Hack will be hosting a wiener roast after you complete your run or walk. If you would like to pre-register for this event please pick up a registration form from the Rec Office or the Town Office. You can also register the day of the event.
If you would like to collect pledges or make a donation you can pick up pledge forms from the Rec Office. Collecting pledges or making a donation is optional. We welcome everyone to participate in this non-competitive, all-inclusive, family-oriented event!
Rocanville Cross Country Ski Trails are located 2miles south of Rocanville, 1mile west of #8 (1/2 mile south of Webster cemetery). These trails have been kept groomed and anyone is welcome to explore them whenever they wish.

Ladies Dessert Night!

We want to invite you, your friends, your neighbours, your family to come and enjoy a wonderful evening with Anna Rust. Anna is a fantastic speaker, and shares her inspiring story!
We invite you to dessert with Anna and other women who are an inspiration to us all in our community.
This event is completely free, we ask that you bring a donation of women's hygeine products, such as shampoo, body wash, soaps, hair products and lotions. These items will be donated to Yorkton Dream Centre to assist in their outreach to women in shelters in the area.We kindly ask that you find other accomodations for your children, as we want to ensure each lady gets to enjoy this evening to the fullest.


Alzheimer's Coffee Break

The Rocanville Library will be hosting a Alzheimer's Coffee Break on Wednesday, September 27th from 2-5PM. Please come and help yourself to coffee and cookies, and give a donation. There will be collection boxes in Rocanville Super Thrifty, Conexus Credit Union, and the Toronto Dominion Bank.
Receipts are given for donations of $15 or more. All proceeds go to the Saskatchewan Alzheimer's Society.


Play structure Installation

September 28-30, 2017
We are a group of community members who are raising funds to build a new playground on the Rocanville School grounds.
The current wooden play structure is 30 plus years old and is beyond repair.

UPDATE: A NEW PLAY STRUCTURE HAS BEEN ORDERED!! Installation will take place September 28th-30th.
We will require a minimum of 10 volunteers per day to install the play structure.
Please contact Kim Gulka at kimgulka@sasktel.net or Call Rocanville School at 306-645-2838 if you can volunteer for this project.
This project has been funded solely by donations and fundraising efforts. We will be working towards phase two; this phase will include renovation of the soccer nets, basketball courts and painting of the swings.


Music and Arts Night

The Rocanville Library will be hosting a monthly Music and Arts Night starting Friday, September 30, 2017!

At 7pm we will feature the musical talent of James Calloway, Miranda DeCorby and other local musicians.

Followed by a Jam Session that is open to anyone that would like to get involved! Bring an instrument and join in or just come and enjoy the musical talent of Rocanville.

All ages are welcome. Coffee and dessert will be available.

TD Tree Day

Help plant trees in Rocanville! On October 1, 2017 at 10AM meet at the Town Shop (402 Francis Street) to join in the planting of trees in Rocanville.

Please pre-register prior to October 1st by going to tdtreedays.com.

If you have any questions please stop in at the Rocanville TD Branch and the staff will be happy to answer them.

Senior's Week in Saskatchewan Celebration

Rocanville Recreation will be celebrating the wonderful Seniors in our community on Friday, October, 6th, 2017!

Please join us at the PotashCorp Rocanville Community Hall from 1-3 PM for an afternoon of bingo, prizes, refreshments and fellowship!

The Dial-A-Van will be providing free rides to this event. To book a ride, please contact the Dial-A-Van at 306-434-6644.
